Bye Bye Winter!

The last day of Winter was a pearler! We decided to get out of the house and visit the beach to breathe in some sea air.

Molly and Daddy headed down too the sand to chase the waves and the birds. Daddy told Molly that if she catches a bird she can take it home and keep it in a box in her room!! Hope that doesn't come back to bite us on the bum!

Afterwards Molly played in a beachside playground while Max had a feed in the lovely sunshine.

What a great way to farewell Winter!

Rainy Day Antics

The weather in Sydney today was rainy but Molly was feeling much better so she had to find ways to have indoor fun. Mummy and Daddy's bed was a great place to clown around for the camera. She must be getting used to this blogging thing because she kept saying
"Take a picture, take a picture!"

A visit to the clinic

I took Max to the clinic today to be weighed and measured. The weather had turned a bit nasty this morning but I had decided to walk there rather than get Max in and out of the car. We got all rugged up and tested out the rain cover for our pram. Here is Max all ready to go.

At 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days Max's vital statistics are ......
Weight 6.4 kg
Length 63 cm
Head Circumference 42 cm
He is growing up so fast!!

I was going to take Molly too but she wasn't feeling well with an upset tummy. She actually asked to stay home for the first time ever!! She really must have felt ill, poor little possum!

It's a Wiggly World

Third time lucky it seems. We finally made it to the Wiggly play centre today. On the last two attempts it had been closed. I wasn't game to tell Molly where we were going until we arrived in the carpark and saw lots of cars there. We met up with Aunty Di, Matthew, Aunty Rhonda, Tom and Jorja for a Wiggly play date. As usually happens at a play centre Molly was off and running the minute we arrived and only checked back with me occassionally for a drink or a bite to eat.
Once again she was crazy for the slides. She must have been up and down that thing 50 times! When it was time to go home she said "I don't want to go home, I want to slide."

Max had a cuddle with Jorja but wasn't all that happy about it.
Give him a few years and I bet he'll be singing a different tune!

A visit with Nanny and fun at the fair

Saturday turned out to be a busy day. Mummy, Molly and Max visited Nanny and Aunty Judy in the morning. Max discovered there is nothing quite like a cuddle with Nanny.

In the afternoon the whole family visited the spring fair at a local Agricultural school. Molly got to pat the baby animals ....

.... and rode on the giant slide with Daddy.

Playgroup

Friday is playgroup day. Molly spends most of her time riding the bikes and also loves the dancing and singing.

a lazy day at home

We were all feeling tired today after our big day out so we had a lazy day at home.

Molly enjoyed a spot of afternoon tea with Big Ted...

....while Max just kicked back and relaxed.
(Nerida note the shirt he is wearing)

A big day out

We had a fabulous family day out today. We decided to catch the train into the city and visit the Sydney Aquarium to see Nemo and his friends. Molly was very excited as this was her first time on a train.

We were all impressed by the Aquarium. Max loved the big tanks where you got to walk under the water because he had a great view from the pram. I'm not sure if he was impressed by the sharks and stingrays swimming over our heads or just liked the sun shining through the water.

Our big day took its toll on Molly and she "crashed" on the way home. Luckily she had Lamby to cushion her fall!

Fun, fun, fun.

Molly has reached that age where walking quietly past a ride on amusement in a shopping centre is no longer an option. She can spot them from a mile away as well. A trip to Miranda shopping centre yesterday resulted in two rides for Molly. Daddy couldn't resist!

Then today at Birkenhead Point we bumped into Dorothy the Dinosaur again!

Max, on the other hand, is at that age where the everyday things are his greatest source of fun, take for instance bath time.....

We missed the smiles with the camera, but a good time was had by all.

Cycling and the many faces of Max

We stayed close to home again today because of Molly's cold which she has kindly shared with Mummy! The weather was too lovely to stay inside all day though so Molly and Daddy went for a bike ride to the lake.

Meanwhile Mummy and Max had some floor time together. Max gave his play gym a serious workout and I was able to capture the many faces of Max.

relaxed

serious

surprised

bossy

concentration

I love them all!

New PJs

Molly is a huge Dora the Explorer fan so when we came across some Dora pyjamas today on special, they were a must have item. Molly was in a big hurry to have her bath tonight so she could wear them for the first time.

No need for a bedtime story tonight, just her Dora the Explorer bag and her cosy new PJs.

A day at home

M&M have enjoyed a day at home today. The morning began with some lovely cuddles...

then some playtime outside for Molly while Max ..... you guessed it ....... slept.

Molly and her dolly friends made the most of the beautiful Sydney sunshine.

Molly is a bit under the weather with a cold so her busy morning took a lot out of her. This is what happened during her rest time when she usually refuses to go to bed but will play quietly in her room for an hour...

Shopping fun

The whole family went shopping in Miranda today. After a lovely lunch we ventured into Target where Molly stumbled across her best friend Dorothy the Dinosaur. After quite a few cuddles with Dorothy and Tigger we bid them a fond farewell and went on our way. Max slept through the whole thing.

Play date fun!

Today we had arranged a play date for M&M with Amy and Kate at the Wiggles play centre. Unfortunately we arrived there to find the centre is closed for renovation! I expected a mutiny from Molly because we had spent the whole morning talking about all the wonderful things she would see there!

Instead we went to a nearby playcentre where Amy and Molly (who share a birthday) had a fabulous time exploring the slides, jumping castles and the ball pit. They also had mini races on the ride on toys.

Max and Kate spent the morning feeding and sleeping as all good babies do. A good time was had by all!

Cousins are great!

We spent the day today with Molly and Max's Aunty Debbie, Uncle Graham and cousin Benjamin. Molly had a fantastic time with Ben, often in hysterics of laughter. It's clear they have a special bond.

Here's an earlier photo of Debbie and Ben since the batteries in the camera were flat today. Doh!
