Playgroup on Ice!

We had an "excursion" today with playgroup. We went to Canterbury Ice Rink! Sounds like a strange thing to do with a group of toddlers and babies but it was a fantastic day!

They have double bladed skates that strap onto the kids own shoes and fun activities for them to do on the ice like ride bikes, sleigh rides, playing with snow

and see-saws to ride on.

Max got all rugged up....

....and had fun being pushed around in his pram on the ice.

At first Molly was unsure about standing up in her skates but forgot all about it while playing with the snow and then shouted out "I'm skating by myself!!" when she realised what she was doing.

Our little speed demon loved being pushed around on the sleigh and the faster the better!

I even managed to stay upright for the whole hour but I must admit pushing the pram around helped me with that!

We even managed to have our first family photo taken
(one with all 4 of us in it).

What a wonderful day!

See any family resemblance?

Beach Baby

More beautiful Sydney weather so we spent the afternoon at Neilsen Park.

The difference 2 years makes...

.... perhaps not much difference at all!

We were looking back through old photos today and thought it would be interesting to compare 2 photos from Uncle Dev's birthday, one in 2004 with Molly and the other in 2006 with Max.

Uncle Dev hasn't changed a bit and if not for the different outfits you'd be forgiven for thinking it is the same baby in both photos, and that they were taken just moments apart.

Dressed for the ocassion??

Another glorious day in Sydney today so we all headed to Balmoral to take in some sea air and sunshine. We didn't bring our swimming costumes and towels but that didn't stop Molly going in for a dip. She just wore her brand new Gymboree dress!!!

Later that afternoon Molly was riding her bike around the backyard and insisted on wearing a bib!?! I insisted she wear shoes so these are the ones she chose....

A Sunny Sunday at Home

We enjoyed a relaxing day at home today.
Max relaxed on the lounge watching the Moto GP with Daddy....

...while Molly found a new way to enjoy her slide and terrify her parents all at the same time.

It was very hard, hot work so she came inside for a rest.

The Gymboree order arrived!!

This morning we received a huge package. It was our long awaited order of summer clothes I had ordered for M & M from Gymboree in the US. They are all just gorgeous!

Molly had to try everything on right away....

....including one of Max's bibs

....but she took a break. There's always time for Hi5!

Meeting Charlie Belle

Yesterday M & M and I had morning tea with my friends and workmates Mel, Kylie and Bel.
Bel gave birth to the lovely Charlie Belle just 7 weeks ago and today was our first chance to meet her.
Max and Charlie hit it off straight away and spent the morning smiling at eachother and holding hands.
Very cute!

Visitors

We had a great day today when the Sydney EB mums and bubs plus Nerida (who is visitng from Victoria) came to our house for lunch. It was our first chance to meet Lynn and Siobhan (who have just come back from Switzerland) in real life.

It was a lovely day despite WW3 breaking out every 10 minutes between the six 2 year olds as they practiced the art of sharing. Molly and Emily had fun dressing up.

Molly was up at 5.30am so her eyes were hanging out of her head by the time everyone left. She crashed for the night at 4.30pm. Fingers crossed that doesn't mean she is wide awake in the middle of the night!

Today my Great Uncle Devron turned 92 so we all had lunch at my mum's house to celebrate. This was his first chance to meet his great, great nephew Max Devron.

Happy Birthday Uncle Dev!

Pizza for lunch

The weather was miserable today. The upside was that Max got to wear a gorgeous outfit that Aunty Roula gave him for the first time. I think he likes it!

It was a great day for a hot lunch so we made pizza. Molly helped add all the toppings...

while Max watched from the sidelines.

Meeting Jasper

Today Molly , Max and I visited Yvette, Jordan, Cohen and baby Jasper. Kris, Eliza, Jamie and Jet were there too and it was a great day. Jasper slept for just about the whole visit so we'll have to have a cuddle another day. I didn't even take a photo of him!! Doh!

Max and Eliza spent some floor time together.

Eliza was playing hard to get....

...while Cohen looked on.

Meanwhile Molly and Jet had a wiggly jam session.

Afternoon naps

Max always enjoys his afternoon sleep in the swing Melissa loaned us.
Whatever will we do when he outgrows it??

"Wake me when dinner's ready!"

Must be getting warmer..

You know the days are getting warmer when you see sun hats.....

.... and icecream

Summer here we come!

Take a picture, take a picture...

Slides, Slides and More Slides

Today Molly, Max and I met up with my internet mothers group. This group consists of mums of bubs born in May 2006 and we have kept in touch via a website called Essential Baby ever since we were pregnant. Those of us that live in Sydney have so far met up twice and today the venue was a playcentre. Here is a picture of us all from today (minus one sleeping baby).....

Three of us have toddlers but they were too busy playing to make it into the photo.
Molly and Brenna had lots of fun on the slide.
