Max's First Shaving Lesson

Yummy Toes!!

First Haircut

It's been a long time coming but Molly finally had her first haircut yesterday (she is 2 years and 4 months old).

It was done by one of the lovely mums from playgroup who is a hairdresser. I think it helped that Molly knows her quite well. That and the bowl of Tiny Teddies.

She was very well behaved but wasn't willing to wear the cape for very long, probably because it was coming between her and those Tiny Teddies!

Of course she looks just beautiful! And now she can see too!

Getting Fit

I have decided to stop griping about my involuntary early mornings (usually 5am) and make the most of them. We invested in a twin jogger pram so I can get out and about walking with the kids and shed some kilos. Yesterday was our first morning walk to the lake with the new contraption. Here we are just heading out....

and here is Molly feeding the ducks at the lake.

We went again this morning, so far, so good!

Busy Evening at Home

Tonight while we were finishing dinner Peter called from Vienna. While Daddy was talking to him Molly had her own pretend conversation with Uncle Peter and Aunty Anna...

...and then got to talk to Uncle Peter for real.


Molly managed to fill up her sticker chart tonight by using her manners


And was rewarded with a lollipop which she decided to eat in the bath


Max watched on and wondered when it would be his turn in the bath.

All about Benjamin

Graham, Debbie and Benjamin visited us yesterday and as usual the two cousins had a great time playing together. Everything Benjamin did, Molly had to do immediately after. A serious case of hero worship there!

"I love my new cousin!" Ben told his mum. From the look on Max's face I think the feeling is mutual.

Big Girl's Bed

Our little girl is growing up way too fast!

Happy Birthday Di!

Monday 9th October was my dear friend Di's birthday so we had a special lunch to celebrate. Di and Matthew, Rhonda, Tom and Jorja all came here for a fun afternoon. Di is expecting her 2nd baby in January. Look at that lovely baby bump!!

Molly and Jorja had a great time playing together and looked like a couple of trucker girls in their caps! It was lovely to se them play now that the 6 month age gap is getting less and less significant.

In Honour of Brocky

Today the boys enjoyed watching the big race at Bathurst and Max got all dressed up for the occassion.

The girls were less interested in the race so we spent some time outside in the sun . I insisted Molly wear a hat and this is what she came up with.....

.... who can argue with that?

A Lovely Day at Home

We had a great family day at home on Wednesday. The weather was lovely so we spent most of the day in the backyard.

Max tried out Molly's "surfboard" with a little help from the Jolly Jumper ....

....we filled up the clam shell for M&M to take a dip....

....the boys had some bonding time...

....then we had spaghetti for dinner

A Visit to the Farm

On Tuesday we went to visit the farm which is part of the school where Dave (Daddy) works.
Molly had a great time with the many animals including goats, cows, pigs and chickens.

Five Years Ago Today.....

....well actually yesterday, I met my wonderful husband for the very first time. It was a magical day and turned into a nine hour lunch date as we just didn't want to say goodbye! Five days later we were living together and the rest is history.

What an amazing five years it has been and what a wonderful family we have created together.

Yesterday we returned to the very place we first met, Dante's fountain in the Italian Forum in Leichhardt. We had a lovely lunch in a cafe and M & M were really well behaved. Here I am with M & M at the fountain. Dave took the photo with his phone.

This is Dave and I before we were married standing beside our pre-children car.

As great as life was then, it is even better now!

Two Peas in a Pod

I caved to the peer pressure today and bought a pair of "crocs" just like Molly's.

Surfer Girl

I hit the shops with M&M today and much to my surprise we had a great time. Molly was just fantastic so I couldn't resist buying her some special things. All of our recent trips to the beach and an episode of The Backyardigans have given Molly a keen interest in surf boards and boogie boards and she has been asking for one for a while now. Today I found the perfect boogie board for our little Dora the Explorer fan.....

Did you notice the new shoes too? What a lucky little girl!

Playdate

We had a great day on Tuesday at Yvette's house. We had planned to meet up at Centennial Park but the weather looked a bit iffy so Yvette kindly offered to have us all at her house. Jamie, Jet, Lynn and Siobhan came too and the kids had a ball playing with all of Fin and Cohen's toys. Here are all of the big kids together on the famous staircase where Jasper was born just 6 weeks ago!
