I'm Bored!

Miserable wet day here in Sydney today and Molly was not happy about being stuck inside.

She was BORED!

Dirty Business

What is it with boys and dirt?

We have an area under our trampoline where nothing will grow. As soon as Max gets out the back door he makes a run for the dirt and in his mouth it goes. It was raining today and not much fun fishing him out of there.

Oh well! Boys will be boys! :-)

Making Friends

Molly has reached that point in the holidays where she is bored and lonely for the company of other kids her age. Yesterday she wanted a lot of attention from me and this is one of the many activities we did together. We made silly friends with Playdoh.

Daddy's Big Strong Arms

Max is cutting his two year old molars and feeling pretty miserable.

Luckily Daddy knows how to make him feel better with a cuddle and an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine on YouTube.

She's Back ....

Day 15 of a 31 day photo-a-day challenge. I wonder if we'll make it through with our sanity intact?

Kids and Rain

It's starting to rain
Like a thousand drummers drumming on the window pane....

and M&M just had to get out there in amongst it.

Chatting to Daddy

Max had lots to tell Daddy when he got back from his cycling. Here they are deep in conversation.

Ladybird - Up Close and Personal

I'm not sure what it is with Molly and insects lately but they seem to be drawn to her. Today she rescued a ladybird from a very heavy rain shower and as she tried to blow it away it flew onto her face, much to her surprise and delight. This is best viewed large by clicking on the image.

Angelic

The Rain on the Train

We made a last minute decision to drive to the Blue Mountains on Saturday and to take the kids to see the steam trains at the Zig Zag Railway. It started out blazing sunshine and really hot but of course 10 mins before we got to the station the heavens opened up in a big way. It was raining so hard we didn't dare get out of the car. Even opening the window to take this photo meant that we got VERY wet!

Click on the photo to see it larger and then you'll be able to see the pouring rain.

The Great Indoors

It was a hot day today so we stayed indoors and gave the toys a good workout.

the face of an angel!

Molly only plays with the girl trains (Emily, Lady, Molly, Annie & Clarabelle)

Can You Make a Dancing Face?

It was the end of a long hot day and M&M were over being in the car.

Time to crank up the music and have a good old sing-a-long.

Justine Clarke's Dancing Face
verse 2

Ruffle your hair

Puff your cheeks

Pull your ears

Click your teeth

Eyebrows up

Eyebrows down

Make a smile

Make a frown

Put it together, that's all it takes

For you to make a dancing face

And cheer up the kids!

Priceless!

Kicking back

This may look like Molly was relaxing on the lounge....
anything but!

It took bribery to get her to sit still long enough to photograph her feet.

I think it was $1 well spent....

but then I am addicted to my new camera ;)

A Swim at Nanny's House

We had a belated birthday celebration for M&M's Aunty Judy today.

After some lunch and birthday cake we had a swim and tried out M&M's new flotation devices.

Molly was not too keen on trusting her swim vest to keep her afloat so she used the ring as well. With both of these she felt very confident and buzzed around the pool happily, even jumping in off a step a few times. This is a big deal for Molly and as you can see she was pretty proud of herself.

Max looked like a mini Michelan Man with his new swim suit with built in floaties. He was also much happier with a swim ring. His is a seat he can sit in, leaving both hands free to splash anyone in his path.

First he picks his target....

Here we go ....

SPLLLLLASHHHH!

Hey! No splashing back!

Just kidding!
