Oops!

"Oops! Did I do that?" thinks Max as he tears the flap out of the Spot book.

"Maybe no one will notice."

"Back to the trains for me!"

Max Discovers Playdoh

Max has been watching Molly with Playdoh for a while now....

....but until yesterday was only ever interested in eating it.

Now he has worked out the other fun stuff you can do with it...

....and only takes a small bite every now and then.

Mummy Take My Photo!

It seems my reluctant model has changed her tune now that the January photo-a-day challenge is over and done with. I'm not complaining though!

The Zoo

Yes that's right we went to the zoo today in the pouring rain! It was actually a really good day despite the weather. No crowds! Molly, Max and Ben had a wonderful time. For Max it was as much fun (maybe more) finding puddles to jump in as it was to look at the animals. he was pretty impressed with the elephants though!

Tears

This was a tantrum that lasted around 2 minutes which must seem like an eternity to a 3 year old. I can't even remember what it was about now and I'm sure Molly can't either.

Blah Blah Blah ........

This is far from a good photo of Molly but it sums up the day. She got out of bed talking and was still talking long after she should be sound asleep. She seriously has not stopped talking all day!

Somebody please tell me this is just a phase and one day soon she will stop talking for longer than it takes to gasp for air????

New Life

Molly spotted this butterfly in the back garden this afternoon. When I looked at the photo later I realised she had been laying an egg on the leaf of our mandarin tree so Molly and I went back out to look for the egg and I just had to take a photo of it too! Molly was very impressed with our discovery.

A Willing Model!

I went back to work today which meant slim pickings for photos, so I was delighted when Molly asked me to take her photo in the bath tonight. Her ideas for posing and mine were a little different but we made the best of it just the same. One of her poses and one of mine :o)

Concentration

Molly is a big fan of "Clifford the Big Red Dog" and today we found a Clifford game online. Here she is concentrating very hard.

Teething Sucks

Max is cutting molars so he bites on everything. This afternoon he was doing some drawing then started biting the table before moving onto the crayons.

Happy Birthday Nanny

We were meant to take Mum (M&M's Nanny) to the zoo today for her birthday but I have been sick in bed for a few days and wasn't well enough. Instead she came for a visit and we had a little cake to mark the occasion.
Molly assumed candle blowing duties.
Max slept through the whole thing.

Taking a Dip

Washing the Car

Friday, January 25, 2008

I am so grateful that both of my kids love books. Max pulled everything out of the bottom shelf of the bookcase in Molly's room, so she decided to make the most of it and set up camp for a good read.

Look How Much They've Grown!

Pulling Faces

I guess this is an improvement on shaking his head at me as soon as he sees the camera. My camera shy boy is warming up!

Peek-A-Boo

Max was playing in the cubby house and hiding away inside from the camera and then suddenly the cheeky monkey poked his head out and gave me this irresistible grin.

Car, Car, Car!

Max is talking so much more in the last week. Car is just one of his many new words.

He really is becoming a little chatterbox and he has the cutest voice you ever heard!

Mother and Daughter

I am usually on the other side of the camera so here are a couple of rare shots of Molly and I together. I held the camera at arms length and snapped, hoping for the best ;o)

Is She Coming?

As Max gets older and more assertive we are having 'sharing issues'.

Molly is disappointed, to say the least, when Max takes a liking to one of her toys and snatches it from her. Thing is Molly has been teaching him all about snatching for the last year or so and now the tide has turned.

Stay tuned for further developments

Here you see Max on Molly's Smart Cycle, holding the new train she bought with her saved up pocket money just yesterday. He seems to be looking over his shoulder just waiting for her protests to begin. Oh joy!
